Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you've all been enjoying your hols. Unfortunately hospitals have to stay open! I had to come into work on Christmas day, on account of some emergency. There's always one, isn't there?
WARDED TO ST MUNGO'S FOLK.I heard word that one of Flint's people is going to replace old peaky Peakes. It might not even be true, but from what my husband told me about Flint tearing Crouch a new bum-hole yesterday about the DMLE's inefficiency, I think I believe it. WARDED TO IONA AND BRANDUFF.Hey, Duffers! Iona, Irv and I want to take you out on Friday. Just the four of us. So clear your schedule, yeah?

WARDED TO IONA.I'm worried about Duff. He's been awful funny since his birthday and I don't think it has much to do with, you know, being old.

WARDED TO GRETA.Hello, dear girl. How are you doing? I would have stopped by today to see how you were doing but work was awful. Anyway, I have a favour to ask you. You are free to say no! You've been through a lot the last few days. I have plans for Friday night with a few mates and I really, really need a childminder since Thomas has been tacking on more hours at work. I trust you with Roger and he loves you. And I'd really like it if you could mind him for the evening until Thomas comes home. If it would make you feel more comfortable, you could invite a friend over to stay with you. Like Remus Lupin; he's such a nice boy.
WARDED TO IONA, ISSY AND BRANDUFF.I think Mum has been scaring Roger with her stories about the dragons and the curses on vaults in Gringotts. You know, the same ones she always told us as kiddies.

My Christmas shopping is complete! Now I've just got to keep Roger out of them until Christmas day. Not as easy as you'd expect, but I think my husband and I can manage it between the pair of us.

WARDED TO REMUS LUPIN.I hope you did not take Mrs Malfoy's words as discouragement. I think you've been doing a lovely job as a volunteer and I wish that were enough for her. I hope I will see you at St Mungo's again soon.

WARDED TO ST MUNGO'S STAFF & VOLUNTEERS.Oh bloody hell. I really don't like that Skeeter woman. Always poking her nose in where she doesn't belong. Where the bloody hell does she get her tips? I swear she can smell when something is happening.

Been to Hogwarts today! This Dragon Pox problem is worse than we thought it was. It was funny, being back in Hogwarts, even if I was only in the hospital wing. I thought I was done missing it, but being there really brought back all of the memories. Playing Quidditch on the pitch, the Hufflepuff common room being toasty warm during the cold winters, brewing potions in old Slughorn's dungeons. I really do miss it. Those were fun years.
The kids look so small! I don't recall ever being that tiny.

WARDED PRIVATE.I can't believe only one day of Hag Week has passed. I'm a bundle of nerves and I'm so worried about everyone. It's so irresponsible of the Ministry to allow this sort of rubbish to happen.

WARDED TO ST MUNGO'S EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERSHAG WEEK! I forgot all about bloody Hag Week! It is going to be a mess. Has everyone reviewed the missing child code? The lot of us will have to keep edgy more than usual, I'm afraid. The thought of hags walking off with a child makes me feel awful peely-wally and I couldn't live with it if anybody went missing from St Mungo's. I hate to be like Henchley, but if you could just review the standard procedure for Hag Week, I'd sleep better at night.

WARDED PRIVATE.I can't stop thinking about what happened to Greta and her friend. I try to think that there's good in everybody but it's times like these that I find it difficult to keep thinking that. Those poor girls. I can't even imagine how scared they must have been. What happened to them was terrible. And it could've been anyone. WARDED TO IONA.Have any of your lot found any information on who attacked Greta Catchlove and her mate? I know it's probably a sensitive matter, but do you know anything? Is there anything you can tell me?

WARDED TO ST MUNGO'S STAFF & VOLUNTEERS.That miserable man did nothing but get on my nerves today. I'm not one likely to lose my temper on the job, but this is really quite enough to get me going on with it. I wish the Ministry would let us get on with our jobs and stop trying to make it more difficult. Mr Ralph Henchley did not go through Healers training and if I hear that bloody lout say "I've only a helpful suggestion for you, Healer Davies" one more time, I might Confund him.

WARDED TO IONA.I don't understand why this lot behaves like this. Like a group of children, the whole lot of them. If they behave that way in public, I hate to see the way they speak about one another in private. It's maddening and it does more harm than good. Of course I don't know the story behind it all but, if the rumours are true, I can't help but think how stupid it all is. Who cares if Mrs Tonks married a Muggle? I don't think I'll ever understand.
I'm more than a bit worried that this sort of shit is going to happen in the hospital. Both Mrs Malfoy and Mrs Tonks volunteer at St Mungo's and I can't handle it if they start their family squabbles in there. Do you think I should speak to one or both of them, or not at all? I'm not sure I want to get mixed up in that affair. Mrs Lestrange is a
